2022 Minimum Wage Increases

Several states will be increasing their minimum wage requirement in 2022. The chart below provides a quick reference to compare your employee rates in IPS to what is required by state.


Employers will be required to increase employee rates in IPS to meet the new minimum requirements by each states required effective date. The U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division website can be referenced to gain more insight into each state's rules, which may include additional requirements by city and county. In addition, the website addresses minimum requirement for any tipped employees.

*$15.00 is required for CA employers with 26 or more employees. The rate is $14.00 for employers with fewer than 26 employees.


**MD requires employers with greater than 14 employees to pay at least $12.50. Employers with fewer than 15 employees must pay at least $12.20.


***MN requires employers with $500,000.00 in annual revenue to pay $10.33. Employers with less than $500,000.00 must pay at least $8.42.


****NV requires employers who offer health insurance to pay at least $9.50. Employers who don't offer health insurance must pay at least $10.50.


*****NJ requires non-seasonal employers with six or more employees to pay at least $13.00. Seasonal employers who pay fewer than six employees must pay at least $11.90.


******NY requires $15.00 for Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties.


*******OR requires at least $14.00 in Portland Metro. We suggest following the DOL link above for more details by county.
